Culpeper's Orchard -s/t, 1971

Culpeper's Orchard is a Danish rock band fronted by Englishman Cy Nicklin, with Nils Henrickson (lead guitar, Piano, vocals, acoustic guitar, harpsichord), Michael Friis (bass, organ, flute, percussion), Roger Barker (drums, percussion), Ken Gudman (drums), Niles Vankilde (guitar), Nils Tuxen (pedal steel guitar, dobro), Thomas Puggaard Muller (guitar), & Tom McEwan (drums). The band produced three albums in the early 1970's before disbanding. The group was inspired by west coast bands like The Byrds, CSNY, the album has it's own idedntity and haunting songs. The band reformed in 1977 and released an album under the name Culpeper. The later album not at all like the previous three. The
eponymous debut was a success both commercially and critically, an impressive effort stuck somewhere between Zeppelin, Tull, and the Beatles. The second album was more folky. Two band members left after the second album leaving Cy Nicklin at the helm for the third album which was borderline country.
