Iron Claw - Claustrophobia 1970-1974

Iron Claw 1970-74. The band was formed in Scotland in 1969 by Alex Wilson and went through numerous lineup changes until its demise in 1974. Wilson, the bands bass guitar player decided to start a band after witnessing a Led Zeppelin concert in 1969. He was also responsible for the bands name which he nicked from a King Crimson tune "21st Century Schizoid Man" They originally performed cover from Free, Johnny Winters, and Ten Years After to name a few but soon began playing original compositions. Classic Rock  titled "The Lost Pioneers of Heavy Metal" and by 2009, sixteen recorded songs from the early 70's were remastered and officially released on C.D. by Rockodrome Records.
In 1993 the group played one show for a charity event. In the late 90's a German bootleg of the bands early recordings had surfaced. In March of 2007 the band was mentioned in an article in Classic Rock  titled "The Lost Pioneers of Heavy Metal" and by 2009, sixteen recorded songs from the early 70's were remastered and officially released on C.D. by Rockodrome Records.

In response to the Rocodrome disc, the band reformed in 2010 and began working on an album of new unreleased material which resulted in the highly acclaimed C.D. "A Different Game"which was released internationally on Ripple Music in 2011. And in 2013, the band dissolved and went their separate ways once more.
