Jeronimo - Cosmic Blues 1970 / "Jeronimo" 1971 / Time Ride 1973

Jeronimo was a German hard rock band of the early 70's. They had chart success in Europe with singles "Heya" and "Nah Nah"Hey Hey." The y released three studio albums in '70-'73. 
Founded in 1969 by Reiner Marz (vocals. lead guitar), Gunnar Schaefer (Bass guitar, vocals), & Ringo Funk (drums), Their first two singles released in '69 & "70 ''Heya" & "Nah Nah Hey Hey" became hits in several European countries. 

In 1970, Jeronimo toured successfully through Germany with Steppenwolf, on the same tour they played the legendary Progressive Pop Festival in Cologne. following that, Jeronimo shared headlining shows with Deep Purple and Golden Earring at various open air festivals.
Jeronimos' first studio release was a pink vinyl split release with Credence Clearwater Revival titled Spirit Orgazmus which was a success all over Europe. All six tracks from that release made it on to the bands debut long play Cosmic Blues (1970). The music being described as a mix between Cream and the Kinks. Their biggest stage performance was Lausanne for UNICEF & was televised throughout the whole world. They also made appearances on numerous European television shows and in Germany they were on "Hits a Go Go" "Beat Club" and  "Bananas."

In 1971 Marz departed, and with Michael Koch the band released their second album Jeronimo, their third one Time Ride proved to be their last . The original lineup reformed in 2001 to play live, but no new material has popped up.
